Song Format
Song Format is how a chart is laid out when you read it and when you print it.
- Lyrics-only mode hides chords and metadata.
- Nashville numbers shows numbers instead of chord letters. The stored chart stays in letters.
- Display Mode (for each song): Scrolling (vertical), Paging (horizontal), or One page (if it fits, otherwise Paging). Affected by Song Zoom
- Print Mode (for each song): Paging or One page (if it fits, otherwise Paging). Affected by Song Zoom
- Long Lines: Controls how to handle a long line in a song. Split the line makes that line wrap, Shrink the line reduces the zoom for that line, or Shrink the song reduces the zoom for the whole song. The initial length of lines is affected by Song Zoom
- Minimum Spaces Between Chords avoids chord crowding in displayed and printed charts.
- Invert PDF Colors: Never, In Dark Mode, or Always. Enables control over PDF display independently from app light/dark mode.
- Song Note Text: caps the number of note lines shown in scrolling mode. Hidden lines can be revealed by tapping the note text.
- Chord-Only Lines: enables bars-and-beats lines consisting mostly of vertical bars, chords, and slashes or dots as beat markers, e.g. | D / / / | A / / / |
- File Import Defaults: Song duration (seconds), Song tempo (BPM), and Crop PDF margins. These apply to songs as they are imported. (See Buttons & Scrolling for the scrolling duration to use when a song has no duration.)
