Customizing the look
These are the choices that change how SongFire looks. Each one names the Settings category where you can change it.
Theme and AppBar
- Theme is Dark Mode, Light Mode, or Follow System. A dark theme is easier to read on a dim stage.
- Hide AppBar keeps the top bar out of the way: Never hide, Hide in full-screen mode, or Always hide (tap to show).
- Edit AppBar Layout controls current song / next song info shown at the top of the screen.
- App Colors controls the appearance of settings buttons and accent colors in the app.
Those settings are under General Appearance.
By default, full screen mode is toggled by double-tapping the center of the screen while viewing a song. This can be changed in Pedals & Touch Zones
Song metadata above the song
- Edit Metadata Layout chooses what song info, such as title or key, to show above the lyrics, both on screen and in print.
- The fonts used for those lines is under Metadata Format and, for the app bar, at the bottom of the app bar editor.
Floating action buttons
Edit Floating Buttons sets whether the buttons are always visible, square or round, high contrast, which corner they occupy, and how to arrange them. The purpose of each button is listed in Floating buttons.
The song & header fonts
- Song Section Fonts set the size, color, Bold, and Italic of Section Headings, Chords, and Lyrics. Also affected by Song Zoom
- Each of Default, Intro, Verse, Chorus, Bridge, and any section you add can have its own look.
- Lyrics-only mode hides chords.
- Display Mode (for each song) is scrolling, paging, or one page. Affected by Song Zoom
- Print Mode (for each song) controls the layout used when you make a PDF from your songs. Affected by Song Zoom
- Long Lines decides whether a wide line splits or shrinks. The initial length of lines is affected by Song Zoom
- Minimum Spaces Between Chords keeps chord names from crowding.
- Invert PDF Colors flips PDF colors separately from the app light/dark theme.
Fonts and sections are under Song Fonts. The rest are under Song Format.
