Backup and restore

Your song libraries reside on your device, so they are always available without an active network connection. You can copy a complete library to another device with Backup Library for safekeeping in case something happens to your device.

Backup Library

Backup Library is on the Libraries drawer and under Backup & Restore in Settings. It writes an .sfb file containing everything: the songs, set lists, books, folios, and even your settings.

Backup is a subscription-only feature.

Import / Restore

Import/Restore on the Libraries drawer, and Import / Restore in Settings, are the same. They open a backup file and import it. SongFire accepts its own .sfb backup, a SongFire .sfp package, and a Songbook Pro or OnSong backup (.sbp, .sbpbackup, .backup, .onsongbackup).

When a SongFire .sfb backup matches a library you already have, you can Synchronize the library or Create a new library. The Sync option is an intelligent sync. The choices include:

Selecting each option will provide a summary of the intelligent sync that will occur if you proceed with that option. This includes itemized songs and setlists, and the action that will be done with each. You can switch the actions for individual songs before proceeding.

You can optionally restore your settings from the backup, unless you created the backup without settings (they are included by default).
